Uses
Quercetin, a bioflavonoid, stabilizes the walls of the cells that contain histamine and serotonin (mast cells and basophils) and prevents the release of these chemicals.
May reduce: bruising, stroke, skin ulcerations, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, bleeding ulcers or rheumatoid arthritis
An antioxidant, antihistamine and anti-inflammatory
Quercetin is able to act as an anti-inflammatory in the brain (and thus protectant of Alzheimers and Parkinsons, of which inflammation is an exacerbating factor)

Vitamin C should be taken along with any of the bioflavonoids-to multiplies their effect. Flavonoids bind with copper, eliminating its destructive effect on vitamin C.

Quercetin doses greater than 1 gram per day, may be associated with kidney damage

Quercetin assimilattion can be aided by taking bromelain (digestive enzyme) in quantities equal to 1/4 to 1/3 the amount of Quercetin.
